If you listen real close, you can actually hear it dropping.

50 years of processed foods, sketchy drugs, poor educational funding, increasingly disconnected parents, living in constant manmade electromagnetic fields, and social media are taking their respective tolls.

How can a measure set by definition with a mean at 100 have just 12 countries above 100?

It's almost entirely due to demographic changes (i.e. ethnic make-up).

The same thing is happening in the UK and other places, entirely due to immigration and ethnic birthrates.

That's not to say that this generation has 'dumbed down' due to TikTok and the Internet, and will get even worse with their reliance on AI.

Given iq is partially genetic and the lower iq people have higher birth rates so we have reverse evolution happening with respect to iq. highest iq and most educated tend to wait the longest to have kids and have none or fewer.

It's ideocracy. Smart people wait longer to have kids and have fewer of them. The dummies start having kids by age 20 and have a bunch of them, and the cycle continues. After 60 years there are 3 generations of dummies, only 2 generations of smarties. And the dummies have twice as many kids, meaning 3 times as many dummies running around.

I read the other day that last week was the first time for forty years or something that there wasn't a single rap record in the US top 40. So there's some hope there.
