My experience is that most of runners have low level of culture.

We can't blame them, we cant be everything.

I can talk of the "illustrious" runners of my country and their inability to pronounce two successive words correctly. But lets be quiet.

It would be interesting to know which country you're referring to.

Interestingly, in US colleges, runners, in particular distance, tend to have the highest academic levels.
