Okay, Steve made a huge improvement from his junior to senior year by upping his mileage to 90-100mpw. He went from 1:55, 4:15, 9:28 to 1:52, 4:01, 9:06. What kind of mileage was he putting in as a junior? Is that kind of improvement to be expected when upping the mileage such as he did?Also, what was the deal with finishing 9th at Footlocker South? With those kind of times and that kind of mileage I'd expect him to be more like 9th at nationals instead of 9th at regionals.

Well, he did run those times several months after FL Regionals. It seems he improved some between his Jr track season & Sr. XC season & then quite a bit more that winter.
