#1 faster course benefits speed. #2 they have best 1-3 in nation. #3 Frias was the missing piece
#4 Thompson and Barnett both running the last races of career. Expect bat out of hell final race boost.
#5 Rebound in intensity from last years struggle.
Ducks are certainly contenders with BYU and NC St. I don't think course will benefit anyone in particular. Everyone will just run fast times.
Should be quite competitive and suspenseful.
agree. Which top 3 will score the fewest points [if BYU has a very good Hutchins I would say them - but not by much]? Is Michalak clearly the top #4? Will each team have a good race out of their 5th scorer?

There’s a thread about the meet somewhere. I only casually looked it.
IMHO, Michalak clearly is the top #4. There’s also a few pissed off & frustrated players on the Wolfpack team. Hopefully that frustration is channeled into preparation & isn’t a distraction

Sadie Englehardt is also very tired. I would like to see her sit out regional.

Is this related to a book deal? 🤷
No. It’s related to a few that aren’t happy with how they’ve been running.
Here's the challenge. The top 5 are good then there's a pretty big drop off to the rest of the team. Obviously 5 score - if anyone in the top 5 falters its game over. Oregon does not have the depth that NC state or BYU have. They have 2 international ringers and 3rd older international stud then a couple gals that have struggled with injuries and don't have great XC national experience minus Thompson. Who runs out of her mind and that bodes well until it doesn't. so margin of error is very thin.

What gives you the impression she’s tired? Seems like she’s improved in each race and i thought she stated training later than most due to her long track season. I’d think she’s going to keep getting better.

Don’t get me wrong. Sadie has done a great job this season. I have absolutely been impressed with her. She’s a stud. I also expect her to get better.
She competed a lot in the track before arriving in Raleigh. Henes can afford to rest her for the regional meet and I think she should. Too often young women race too much and it ends up adversely affecting them. I don’t want to see the same happen to Sadie. She’s too important to the team.

I guess haters are always gonna hate. Sad that Sadie has haters

I mean yeah she raced hard in June and July but Engelhardt has raced 3 6k's since August 9th. How much of a break do you think she needs? Hartman and Napoleon were both training very hard all summer too. Gapes was working her way back to fitness all summer to prep for NZ XC Championships. There will be people rested at regionals for NC State, but Engelhardt is probably 4th or 5th on my list of people who look like they need it.
