He’s casually insulting practically all marathoners

To be taken seriously, you either have to be global medaling or be a hot girl insta pop tart. Is he aiming for the latter?
What has he achieved in the marathon? I can't think of any big achievements he's done over 26.2 miles. He only did Boston once - and that's the mark of excellence.
He will say what they want for the right price. He knows what he’s done.
I thought this was the April fool’s version of letsrun for a second
It’s 2025 and there’s still pedants taking EK’s words literally?
That's a ridiculous thing to say, assuming he said it and it wasn't taken out of context. Deceptive media. Run a Marathon, you are a Marathoner. Simple as that. I've run 100+ Marathons/Ultras, I usually see something that reminds me how hard this really can be. Running those 7 races is an accomplishment no doubt but it's out of reach for most people for one reason or another. Mostly money, it costs a lot of money. Also, the Tokyo Marathon is really hard to get into for the average person I believe.

Honestly it's tough to disagree. I've never heard of this guy, my true running heroes are people like Thomas from believe in the run and Kofuzi.
They're so fast and inspirational!!
What’s a seventh star medal?
There is no such thing as a 7 star medal..
Is this quote appearing anywhere reputable? "Times Now News" appears to be a content mill and I'll bet that article along with most/all of the other stuff on their site is just auto-generated. The quote itself probably was at some point a real statement he made that has gone through an English -> other language -> English machine translation labyrinth. Or it's just absorbed every vague Kipchoge philosophical statement in its training data and now spits out stuff like this. Or both.
