Not bad - but with the caveat that he's 29, and has multiple years of incredibly high training volumes and a background in running (i.e., probably pretty close to his ceiling already). Looks like he's doing up to 200 km/week - will be interesting to see how long that is sustainable for.

I watched the Spanish broadcast of the Valencia Half Marathon on YouTube and the two Spanish commentators were commenting that after the halfway mark the course was slightly downhill all the way to the finish or part of the way to the finish I can't remember exactly the words but a significant portion of the race was slightly downhill so I'm not sure how that counts for ratification.
The course is elegible for records, as the star and finish are just like 200 metres apart.. its a loop around Valencia. It is slightly uphill for the first 10K, and slightky downhill for the last 10K. However the last 2/3 k are tough ish.

LOL. No it's not. They all have good engines, but the pack handling skills and tactics in draft legal triathlons is comically bad compared to even domestic level crit racing.
