Great run by Daniel Mesfun (former Eritrean).
Mekkonen was also with the lead group until the last 7k and finished in just under 2.11 (looked in a ton of pain)

Mekonnen, not Mekkonen. You had me excited that a Finn was running well.
I was staying in same hotel as him. This morning after breakfast at the elevator he was asked if he'd won & where he's from (by 2 American tourists as it happens). His entourage confirmed he had won & Mesfin himself replied "I'm from Eritrea". Great win & a great time on a bad day weather-wise in Dublin.
Looks like he's entered in CIM. He can definitely run under 2:08 on that course and win the US Champs.
Where did you find the CIM start list?
I searched his name here:
You can search "USATF" and see anyone entered
I think he's the one that trains now with Rory Link? Has run the U.S. marathon trials in the past as well
