Two guys on the track team are faster. Were they permitted to compete?

If I was the track coach, I'd be recruiting #35
You are correct. I thought it was NC State.
lol. i went to unc, and I didn't even recognize the school the article mentions: north carolina university. it made sense once i saw it was a link from canada. only another country wouldn't know that moving one word could make the school name undecipherable

We don't concern ourselves with trivial details about your silly country.
I think the issue, which is not country specific, but university specific, is that the other public university in North Carolina is referred to as "North Carolina State University", whereas the university in the video is "University of North Carolina," so North Carolina University is some strange in between of the two, which could truly refer to either
The comments on the Youtube video I saw were so misinformed and terrible. It's actually painful to read. The dude that finished closest to her is probably a 7.2 runner at best, I should've been out there man.
She barely won. Funny that someone who gets paid huge amounts of cash to live and breath as a "professional" in a sport nearly gets beaten by some random college dude.

Great running by Melissa! Mr Beast gets to keep his 100K.
I guess because this guy has like half the world following him on youtube it's a fun promotion from track and MJW
But the reality here? She's a pro sprinter and depending on how you want to factor things with wind/doping, either the fastest or second fastest woman in history and she's wearing spikes and barely beat a kid running in trainers.
I get that this sort of stuff is hard for these pro's - you're completely in chill/zero motivation mode but she nearly got beat there, don't know if that reflected too well.
If the video was posted anywhere besides twitter, I would watch it. Not giving that hellhole any views
She started when Mr beast said go, lots of the guys started early
2 Things can be true at the same time. MJW is a phenomenal talent and should be applauded for being willing to do this. AND this is definitive proof that men should not be racing with women in the real world. I hope she continues to run well. It is refreshing to see someone at the top of the American sprinting world who is likable again.
She's faster than 99.99% of men so this is no surprise.
