He said in the podcast that he moved to France at age 19 with no French - absolutely nothing - and he now speaks fluently without any trace of an accent and I find that intriguing as a linguist because I've never seen that before - that is to say, if someone moves to a new country post childhood at a young age, they will always have some trace of an accent.
He also said in the podcast around the 28 minute mark that he registered at one of the universities in Paris to study sociology but couldn't follow the course because he didn't understand anything.
Either he's an outlier or he's not being quite sincere.
