i dont care that they are a private school. I care that they brought in 5 of the best boys from within an hours drive as transfers all at once. I'll be rooting against them at NXR SE. I'd rather no NC teams go to NXN than have Christ School go.

They really only have one person in their top 10 who ran for no other high school before this. Some of them transferred in last year too

It’s a really good academic school so I can see the appeal for these boys (and their parents) if they’re getting tuition. My father-in-law went there back in the day, but otherwise I have no bias towards it.
Question: are these recruits day students or are they boarding students from other parts of the state/out of state? That makes a difference to me. If they’re all local Asheville guys who decided to go to Christ to build a strong program, that’s cool. If they’re being pulled from other regions/states like a college program, it’s much, much less impressive.

this is not true, over half were at a different school at some point last year. Some moved during the second semester but Young, Baird, Webb, Dennehy, McDowell and Graham have transferred in within 2025

I agree. Would be nice to see McCallie finally make it this year. Last few years they were close but never quite got there. They have 6 seniors on the team now, so it seems like this is their last chance unless they get plenty of transfers at the same time in the future.
Sure, McCallie has a couple of transfers that came in at separate years, but I’ve never seen a team that brought in like 6 new transfers during the same season. I think maybe Loudoun Valley might have, but some of those guys didn’t make their top 7 right away or ever

But next year it will be nearly impossible to knock out Belen or Christ School out of NXN as they are looking to be the top 2 teams in the Southeast. These teams graduate almost no one
