Awesome and Classy video about the greatest hs runner of all time, male or female! Trust the process Jane. You are competing in a much bigger pond now. Unlike many, you chose to stay in a familiar environment for your college years. Just have faith in coach Taylor that she will lead you to the collegiate champion 🏆 that God destined you to be.

I was in highschool the same time as Ritz,Webb and Hall. She has the same fan fair those guys got. I think the toughest thing is now how do you measure her success. if she never wins a cross title or sets a world record is her career a disappointment?
I hope she can stay healthy and reach her goals.

She was Brooks PR Mile champ as a sophomore. The "massive progression" in your mind is just because you don't know much about her progression. Learn first, post second.

Third best female behind Mary Decker and Mary Cain.
I like the Lance Armstrong “what am I on” commercial

Not really. She just happened to grow up in the same town where her dream school is and father works.
Was not a particularly surprising choice for a Mormon to attend BYU.
I think the commercial was very well produced, and for sure it will inspire a lot of young girls. She seems like a very nice kid.
Although there are tons of videos of Jane available on the internet, I'd never watched any other than just some of her best races, which I watched live. Although she obviously looked awesome in her races, I did not notice just how fantastic her stride looks until I saw this video (great production). They really capture just how incredibly fast she is.
The coach mentions three elements that make a great athlete. I think in Jane's case she left out a couple of important things. 1. 6-7 years of dedicated training, pretty incredible when you're talking about a child. 2. An incredibly supportive environment (great club, great parents, nearby college with incredible distance running culture, etc). She's really the product of talent, dedication, and support all coming together to perfection.
Hopefully she will be one of the best in the World in the coming years. I wish her luck. She seems very grounded and driven
Solid video and good intro, but the Nike swoosh/syringe that is persistently on the screen throughout is very distracting. I actually never thought she might be doping until the video, and I still think it is unlikely, but "Win at Any Costs" and Salazar and Shelby and, of course Lance Armstrong. I hope like Allyson Felix she is soon able to start her own brand or at least escape from the dark side.

1. Its disgusting that this is the 1st reply to this thread.
2. Jane uses Shaklee, which undergoes strenuous lab testing, USADA approval, and has been known as the most pure and natural vitamin supplements available.
3. Would you be willing to approach her parents and say this to them?
4. Jane and her family dont care what you think. She has all of her national records now and theres nothing you can do about it. Even in 50 years if someone breaks her record, all of her championships and titles are set in stone, because champions last forever.

Any 18 year old who is running very fast, had to make massive improvements because they have only been running at a high level for a handful.of years. That is how math works.

I loved that video because it was inspiring and reminded me that this website is one of the few places online where we celebrate female athletic achievements.
But I also had a really cynical take: I wonder if she'll ever get good enough to be acused of doping here? If you are reading this Jane, congrats! You have finally made it!
