Good or bad for the sport: The 100m finals are 7 minutes apart?

7 minutes is too tight, but I think the overall idea is correct. 20-30 minutes would be better. Time for interviews, celebrations, etc. then a quick leadup to the next gender's race.

Agree, it would be better on a different night to give proper spotlight to the gender winners.

7 minutes is too long. These events take less than 20 seconds - so much downtime. 5 minutes seems about right to me, and even that may be more than necessary. I think we could do 3.

why not run them simultaneously? the track has two 100m straights. run them side by side. use same starting gun.

similar with 200m and 400m. 800m might get a bit messy.

People are not working and can watch at home.

I think having them on consecutive nights, the usual practice, is better. The last event each night.

I thought it was great watching them back to back on a Sunday.

Its way better for the atheletes who are doing 100, 200, 4x100. Last few world championships they have had the mens 4x100 prelims before the 200 was concluded because of staggering of the 100m days. It messes up the 4x100 because the teams can't run there A teams in prelims and then have to make changes for finals.
