Even after Kipchoge showed us no human is limited, they still tell us we can’t do it.
I ask you, Letsrun forum denizens, what would it take to achieve this? Illegally or legally, what would it take to make this happen? What type of aid would be necessary to allow a human to travel this distance on foot?

Marcel Hug has done it dozens of times, but clearly has a leg up.
Sub 4:00 mile pace shouldn't be a problem if all these 1500 and 5000 meter runners will transition to Marathon.
For a downhill bike ride in South America, a famous and popular destination is the "Death Road" (Yungas Road) near La Paz, Bolivia, a ~60km route with ~3,500 meters of descent known for its extreme adventure and popularity with tourists. While dangerous, it offers breathtaking views and a unique challenge for mountain bikers.

But if you really want to run a marathon that fast, get a trained saluki or pronghorn antelope and put a harness on it. Let it tow you like a dog pulling an Arctic sled.
You'd still probably have to be elite level to pull this off, but I could see a pronghorn boosting a 2:01 marathoner to 1:44. Runners for whom a 60 second lap can be a relaxed lope, not a sprint, would have a shot.
Lots of beans the day before and right before the race. big fart 2 hour+ fart for extra speed.

Not sure about 26 miles but 3 sub 4 minute miles back to back shouldn’t be too far away.. A 12:26 5km would be the equivalent of this.
A bear, but travelling at exactly the right speed. I think there’s untapped potential in reverse pacers. Having it behind you the entire time should theoretically avoid any potential asterisks regarding the use of outside assistance either generally or in the vein of the women’s marathon WR, particularly if the bear also has a race bib, and if he eats our best guy then it doesn’t really matter anyway.

Depends how much the shoe technology can be developed.
