I wouldn't. But I was raised that blood is thicker than water. Family is everything in my large family. We absolutely have an "us against the world" mentality.

So if your son was a serial child rapist and child murderer - you would not turn your son in?
If he did a high profile murder and I knew it was him? Yes without question.
I won’t. I’m not obligated to assist the state in its job. I especially don’t see why I should have my child murdered by the state when I’m opposed to anyone being subjected to that punishment.
It means he is turning his son in to be executed - given the state Governor's promise to exercise the death penalty. I guess his dad is a Trumper.
No - his dad is an honorable man who didn't want his pansy, lazy-ass assassin son to go free. He did the right thing. A man of integrity.
His was going to be identified anyway, so it doesn’t matter who turned him in. As for the OP’s question, the father making the call was the right thing to do.

There is a part of me that agrees with statement. As a limited Government person, I don’t like the state to have this power.
However, in the a situation like the train guy, where there is no doubt, I don’t see why the rest of society has to pay his room and board for the rest of his life.
