No idea why you are getting downvoted. Kenya should have been banned so long before these championships in any case. Now it's really time for World Athletics to step up and do something (for a change) and ban the entire Ethiopian team from the champs if they do not follow the AIU's reccomendation. Kenya and Ethiopia are free to compete in the Enhanced Games if they are so desperate to compete in a championship.

Houlihan should have been banned for life. Welteji should absolutely be banned and so should the entire Ethiopian team if they do not follow the AIU's reccomendation. That is a consistent position to hold.

I kind of want them to let her run just to keep Nikki off an incredibly soft podium. She’s not good enough to deserve a 3rd at world champs but given how many aren’t doing the 1500m and the lack of depth over that she’s got 3rd in the bag now.

I would argue we are actually in the strongest era ever of women's middle distance running. At the pointy end, Faith is running world records. And the depth behind her is unprecedented. In 2011, when Jenny Simpson won worlds, NO ONE ran under 4 minutes. This year there have been 35 women under 4.

Part of your skill set as an athlete is to dope and get away with it. Welteji has shown weakness in getting caught, no different than making a tactical error in a race.

She's a high enough level for it to spoil things for me. If the top end start getting done on mass I'll likely lose interest. I'd rather they lie and cover it all up. Imagine they take down a Big Fish, what happens then? All the other fish are tainted. Do you honestly think these new white boys and girls running super times are all clean.?
