I'm no Paul Chelimo fan, but this is how you do it, kids. Were I Joe, I'd scratch from the 5K, too.By the way, Seth, Paul "spikes up" because he races in spikes. Take note.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1oNy7GfM4o
Interesting runner with 13 min/ 27 min pb;s 5000m/ 10000m .
25 x 400m @ average 59 sec with 60 sec rest? Think Paul Tergat did same workout long time back in average 56-57 sec ...
Well, a runner with 13:00 / 27:00 should stay with 62-63 sec in a maxVO2 25 x 400m with 60 sec rest....going faster will be counterproductive. Better to do another day a ' compliment ' repetition workout at a faster pace ( 1500m-3000m pace)..
His thresholds are also a little bit too fast and he should stay at around 2:50 min/ km .🇸🇪🤠🇸🇪
India is the new Kenya. Rampant doping. Let's see this bad boy get caught.
This really blackpilled me on how much the doping must help. At least with Kenya, there was this myth that these guys were more genetically talented that seemed to have some backing at one point. Yeah they may not be legit 2:00-2:02 marathoners, but they are still 2:06-2:08 guys clean, which is still way better than most other countries per capita.
However, does anyone really believe India has some untapped talent pool of running? They are probably the worst nation at athletics when population is taken into account. About 1/5 of the worlds population and barely any medals or notable athletes. Now they just have random guys dropping sub 14 5ks in workouts looking like its a recovery run?! Whatever new dope is out there must be more potent than the old stuff. Its turning nobodies into world class athletes
I'm just a humble 14:20ish guy, always thought maybe doping could get me to 14:00 maybe (not that I would want to). Now I think maybe I could be a 13:20 guy with the sauce lol
Singh did 25x400 averaging “59 and below” (coach’s words) off 60 second rest. Chelimo only did 16. That is nowhere close to “basically the same workout.”
India hired Scott Simmons to coach their distance athletes years ago. They train in Colorado Springs w American and other athletes. they are tested regularly by the USADA while training in US, and by the NADA while in India.
Singh’s training partner, Karthik Kumar was caught by the USADA this spring while training in Colorado Springs.

1. Kenyan genetic superiority is not a myth.
2. There are over a billion people in India, of course there are going to be some standouts. For them to be like Kenya there would have to be literally thousands of runners like this guys.

The difference is that India has a huge pharmaceuticals industry to draw from. Some of the highest quality anabolics come from India now. I would imagine EPO would be child's play there.
