It is a great workout but anyone who can run 28:30ish could do this workout.
No way
As someone who knows way more about this than you do, I will try to gently remind you that a 28:30 10000m runner does 10x1K at 2:51 without any rest. Are you OK?

I’m okay.
He did 15 x 1km with 90 seconds rest averaging 2:49, not 2:51, and he called the working “simple work” and he has a 10k Pr much faster than 28:30
Solid workout. Six seconds slower per k than Kipchoge used to run for this workout puts him at 2:04-2:05, but Kipchoge was also doing it at 7-8k altitude, not 5k, so call it 2:07-8 shape.

but that shape maybe on a flat fast course in good weather on his best day? surely you don't predict he's running that in NYC in his debut? idk man, Klecker seems to work very hard (maybe too hard) in his workouts I think trying to prove himself to himself. he's a very serious soul.

I’m pretty sure this workout actually was at sea level in Minnesota

Why would Kipchoge be doing a workout in Minnesota
