hahahahahahahaahahahahahaha thank you you're totally right. I was referring specifically to some videos I saw of how controlled their top 4 looked, finishing side by side. long season left still, but they are ready and deep.

They'll be good, no doubt, but they don't have the title sewn up. Oregon & NC State are also very deep.
It’s a long season. A number of teams have looked good n September only to drop off in November. It’s a promising start, but there are a lot of good teams out there. Down crown them just yet.

are you kidding? on Oregon and NC State's best day they couldn't beat Snow College and Westminster.
These season openers against no competition are not indicative of much of anything, except of athletes back in the pack that might end up redshirting or at least not contributing. Tayvon Kitchen was 9th. I wonder if he'll end up redshirting xc, though I assume he'll run track.
Last year, somehow BYU won Natty’s without a runner in the top 10. There 2nd runner, Chamberlain, finished in 31 place.
Chamberlain ran the BYU Autumn Classic last year in 15:18. She, along with three other BYU athletes, ran it in 15:30 today.
The BYU depth appears formidable this year.
I don't think there is any doubt they have a good team. But what today proved is unclear at best. They will be at the Cowboy Jamboree in 3 weeks along with New Mexico, although who knows if Kosgei will run so soon after Tokyo. Still, probably a better measuring stick.

The results showed a big improvement year-over-year with Lexi Goff, one of the top four today, who apparently didn’t even make the Natty’s squad last year.
