Since NC State is an adidas school what shoes will she wear?
she'll wear adidas in races and if they are planning on doing photos/videos for any practices. Otherwise she can wear what she wants.
i'm assuming this is more than shoes, and she'll be a starter at the various Brooks HS invites and regional and national events for the new Brooks XC Nationals.

I would also be curious to hear how this deal will work and what she can wear and when.
Student-athletes in my classes tell me that they are not allowed to sign an NIL deal with any company that is deemed to be competitive with any sponsor of the athletic department, which offers exclusivity to the sponsor.
So, we'll assume there is a carve out that allowed her to do this. I'd like to learn how that works.
Super cool that Jim Thorpe had an NIL and a pro contract way before anyone else even knew what it was. He was 100 years ahead of his time. Also very smart of him to let his sports agent with the Sac & Fox tribe handle the logistics and negotiations.
And you were there with your tribe mates to help him deal with it in 1912? Very Impressive! That Indian blood of yours is ageless. You're so much greater than you've ever even told us, sir. Will you coach my son, please? What do you charge per hour to share your greatness?
Really surprising that it's Brooks, rather than either renewing with NB (which I would've thought -- she's seemed really tight with some of their people) or going with the school brand in Adidas (unlike Hartman and Napoleon, or for that matter Tuohy and Bush). It'd be really interesting to hear some behind-the-scenes details, but of course we never will.

Interesting...I've not heard of anyone at Oregon signing with a company other than Nike, but I've seen even very well known athletes at other big name Nike schools have deals with non-Nike companies (Copper Flagg, Duke, New Balance). though he had to wear Nike on the court.
I mean, sure, one could argue that she over-raced/trained her senior year, and so she’s fairly close to her athletic peak already. That’s probably correct, but why not give a young, promising talent a strong incentive to prove even more?
If she falls short, she’ll still fall in line with PLENTY of past talents who “burned too hot” early on…if she succeeds, then she gets payed handsomely, and the expectations will continue to weigh on her until she retires and adopts more of a coaching role.

Overtrained and raced? She hardly ran with her outdoor season starting in late May.
Although a bit quiet, she had PRs at 800 1500 mile and also in xc.
