Who in there right mind would think they could that fast in that race? That's beyond even Jakob probably
5000m indoor holder? LOL, this is a sinister bloke. He tried to salvage it by losing the trials 5k and 10k races. very cunning guy indoor holder for 5k losing both 5 and 10k? not happening. ill bet my life on that.
Someone requested that so it would be a tactical race. Probably the guy that was screaming at the finish after winning a slow race.
Not a big fan of that contrived celebration. On the feed I watched, he did the same thing 3-4 times from different angles. I mean, I get it; but not a big fan. Same ridiculous type of antics that he’s done in xc.
Also, any sleuths out there that can identify his spikes? His usual debranded Dragonfly or something new from Kiprun?
Jakob I think would be capable of 7:15.xx in ideal conditions.
Recall he ran 7:17.55 on a very hot, sunny day.
Exaggerate much?
? Not sure what you are questioning as an exaggeration. Of course we have no evidence about what form he is in today, but It was 30° C (86° F) when he ran 7:17 last year. That he could have run a little faster on that day in 75F conditions seems pretty plausible.
And Mehary realizing he was toasted, pushes Fisher knocking him off his pace, Fisher falls back to 5th and claws back to finish a close second. one more stride Fisher would have won.
Dirty African runner (again). Grant said politely “that’s racing”. I say no, that’s dirty African runners. seen it over and over throughout the years.
Fisher could have gone earlier and put himself in better position and potentially not have had the traffic around him.

You act like the 3000m is independent from other distances, but a 7:15 requires a combination of speed and strength just like other distances. For Ingebrigtsen to run that fast, he would need to be capable of 3:41.
That he ran 7:17.55, is a very strong indication that the conditions did not affect him that day.

That 69s lap threw a wrench in the machinery.

It was 81° and the dew point was 61° at 4:15. Additionally the stadium is shaded over most of the track . Those are fantastic conditions for racing a 3000m.
Where do you guys come up with this crazy sheet? Have you ever been a competitive runner ? Playing make believe on the interwebs isn't cutting it.

Don't get your panties in a bunch Sally. I don't get paid anything, and you don't pay anything, and like most LRC kids you want everything to be free anyway.

Why was this down voted? Do the six of you think Ingebrigtsen can run 3:41?
