Sebastian Lörstad, Sweden, 17 years young, finished 3rd in the Sweden v Finland dual meet last week, 13:45.03, behind Danielsson, 13:39.62, and Johnny Grahn, 13:43.30.
Kid's already a monster, 17 years young, with pb's already: 3:44.38/7:52.15/13:43.27.
In 2023, aged 15, he started out with 4:01.68, 14:57.54
2024 (16) 3:50.63, 14:08.42.
Kid's got endurance, in April, 2025, ran 29:07 in the classic Damien, Norway 10km.
I'm guessing he's not interested in a US collegiate career, but if he was interested, D1 schools would love to nab this kid.

him, jonathan grahn and karl ottfalk, all pretty decent runners. i don't think any of them will be as good as almgren but can be pretty solid at the European level in time...

Dude, the kid is only 17. He's ahead of all the others. Ok, not Ethiopian level phenom, like Mehari, but I think he'll be 13:00-13:05 within 2/3 years. Kid's a monster, and a self admitted running nerd. Laros level? Not quite, but not far.

Another great young runner.
I have investigated what other teenagers have run recently starting with the youngest:
1. Sam Ruthe: 3:39.46 --7:56.74--??? both at 16
2. Moe Berg: 3:37.25 --7:55.82 (at 18)
3. Cameron Myers: 3:33.26--7:52.06--13:49.66 (at age 19)
4. Niels Laros: 3:39.46--7:48.25--13:57.78
5. Jonathan Grahn: 3:40.29--7:54.66--13.52.41 (at age 19)
6. Nick Griggs: 3:42.72--7:53.40--13:36.47 (at age 18)
7. Axel V. Christensen: 342.53 (at age 19)--7:59.30 (at age 16)--13:44.62 (at age 16)
8. Joel Ibler Lillesoe: 3:44.50 (at age 16)--7:49.61--13:40.09
9. Barnicoat: 3:55.33 (at age 16)--8:22.98 (at age 16)--13:45.24
10. Hobbs Kessler: 3:34.36 (at age 18)--7:59.41 (at age 18)
11. Charles Hicks: 3:43.59 (at age 19)--8:08.81--13:33.80 (both at age 18)
12. Jakob I: 3:31.18--7:56.74--13:17.06. Jakob´s 3000m and 5000m times are run in championships; he could possibly have run significantly faster in fast, paced races.
------------
All the young European runners have won more than a couple of medals in European U18, U20 and U23 track and X country champs. Jakob has also won 2 medals in the U20 WC and in the senior EC.

Good but nothing monstrous.
You're right, full monster status kids like Laros, Mehari, etc. But I'm guessing Lörstad will become a fully fledged monster or demi monster within the next 3-5 years. Dude's a self confessed running nerd, so probably high IQ doesn't hurt....engineering career type (Conner Mantz).
