I'm not saying it's impossible at all that Laros is doping, as he is a/incredibly fast and b/trains in Kenya, but certainly no more likely to be dirty than Cole Shocker - a crazy kick in a 3:27 Olympic final after rounds, despite getting outkicked easily by the likes of Gourely and Beamish all year.

Yes, I can see Laros dominating for a few years, or having a few dominant years interspersed with injury problems. It rarely happens that a guy dominates for a decade, no matter how gifted at a young age. El G dominated for a long time but was probably both lucky and doped out of his mind with an incredible medical and physio set up looking after him. And he still lost twice in Olympic finals.

And you just don't know who will come along in a few years time. We thought Jakob was an intergenerational talent that we wouldn't see the likes of again for years or decades, but he is only four years older than Laros.

Compare the skeptism of an obvious prodigy like Laros to the blind acceptance of Phanuel Koech - literally out of nowhere and running for a coach known to dope athletes - from the same people. They should ask themselves who has taught them to behave this way.

There is a not so splendid tradition among too many on this forum consisting of speculations and accusations as soon as someone might beat an American runner.

More like when anyone defeats an East African. Laros blew the doors off Koech and it really has bothered all the usual suspects. Just like his rousing finish at the Prefontaine meet while running down Yared bothered the same crowd. The kid was a teen sensation and his improvement has continued.

As others have noted, none of these people are smart enough to ask themselves why they automatically react this way, why they lick the feet of any African, even if they’re running under the guidance of one of the known dirtiest coaches in the sport, Berardelli. Who taught them to think this way, who molded their thinking? 🥸 Who created this tradition?

Kerr and Hocker are the best kickers in slower races. EPO/blood dopers prefer fast races, as blood doping doesn't help buffer acid once its in the blood (allows you to push from farther out). Phanual Koech is the most obvious doper this seaon, and no way Laros is clean. To the poster who mentioned US Postal Service, that was a European based team who doped to keep up with Europeans on the European pro circuit, like Dutch Rabobank etc. They got all their drugs in Europe and exclusively used European Doctors.
