KANGAROOOOO!!!
What's with Texas being woke and requiring a permit?
Lady in one of the red states had one at our local home depot last year. It drew a lot of attention. I have a picture. She was carrying it around in a front sling/pouch. I feel bad for kangas in Wisconsin.
The top rated comment on that Instagram post is excellent
Why in the hell would anyone want to own a kangaroo?
I have never had any interest in moving to Wisconsin. But now that I know that I can own a kangaroo without a permit, it's time to save up for a house on a few acres of land.
Oh HELL no. I've been on about the kangaroo threat for years, there is no way they should ever be allowed outside Australia.
If they ever get established in the wild, their efficient pouch-rearing biology will eventually force us placentals into the margins, like in Australia. They have tens of millions of kangaroos overrunning them. They have to send scores of professional hunters out to shoot them.
Anyone caught exporting a kangaroo from Australia should be jailed for life. Any kangaroos currently outside Australia should be sent back or euthanized.

Sarcasm??????
State of Imagination
I’m not sure if this is all BS or not. I worked in upstate NY for a while. Down the road from me was a small novelty/hobby farm that raised exotic animals for amusement & meat. (Emu steaks btw are nasty).
At one point, they had a wallaby or two. Cute little beasts but not the smartest. Several jumped their fences and were hit by cars and killed.
I know that technically they’re not kangaroos but they’re close. I also fully acknowledge that they may have been in the country illegally. (How high would a border wall need to be to keep them out)???
I’d rather have a wallaby. They are smaller and gentler. Plus they do a good job of keeping the grass down. Kind of like a hoppy, less noisy goat.
Why is this in the high school forum ?
You cannot legally own a kangaroo as a pet in any Australian state without a special permit, and even then, it is only permitted in Victoria under specific conditions. Kangaroos are generally protected and not allowed as pets, although permits may be granted in very specific circumstances
Quality content.
Need some redneck Texas state legislator to introduce a bill legalizing kangaroo ownership sans permit.
Several years back some random Missouri state legislator passed a bill re-legalizing catfish noodling. America, f yeah!

Kangaroos are a marauding horde that will destroy you if left unchecked.
Marsupials diverged from placentals around 100 million years ago, but thankfully the ones that stayed in South America were kept in a small-animal niche, possums and such. The Isthmus of Panama was submerged, keeping them out of north America until recently. Their gene pool has been contained to where it is no threat to our dominance.
The ones that migrated through Antarctica to Australia and took the whole place over are the dominant large mammals there. We can't have these monsters competing with us, over time they would win. You keep those damn things on that alt-continent of yours, signed the main continents
I had a college professor who owned two hyenas that lived in his backyard (in Kansas). He taught us that exotic pet ownership is 5% what the law says and 95% perseverance.
On a separate note, kangaroo tastes decent if prepared properly. A nice lean meat that is somewhere between beef and venison.
