Is there a way to know how many losers are watching the flotrack feed at any given time? I get the sense that they won't earn back the money the paid to buy the rights on this, both because of their price-gouging and because of the ill-will that the track community harbors towards the company now.
Are we at the point that the M800 WR is on permanent watch until the end of the season.
I've got to assume everyone is starting to round into form, and it seems like Wanyonyi and Arop are showing up for every race, and neither seem interested in a slow race.
It doesn't seem like a forgone conclusion that the record will be broken, but I'm also feeling like in each race from here till world's, there's a chance they'll be pushing each other straight through the finish and might be able to breakthrough.
The 800m B race is on in a few minutes and the field is loaded with sub 1.45 guys. It will be interesting to see how they run in the conditions - could give an indication of what to expect later.
Update: 1.45.80 off a 50.3 first lap. Not great by todays standard - maybe they just got out too fast (hopefully!)
