The official 2025 Leadville 100 thread

Tried to start a Leadville thread earlier this week with no luck. This race is such a joke now, Roche is going to win by 3+ hours.

Race director always was a pos for Leadville before the new regime.

I heard he was a drunk, but other than that didn’t cause problems. New one (I know personally) is a dope

I think roche will likely DNF — even though I’m a fan of his.

Those of us that have raced for a while know how hard it is to bounce back from a really bad effort. Idk. Just my two cents. Usually a bounce back takes a bit of marination to solve.

Roche went out HOT already has a big lead through outward bound. We’ll see if 7:15 pace is sustainable…

No it missed him. he’s leading by a lot and up on record pace by about 4 minutes. heading up Hope pass now. follow the instagram link. giving decent updates

Just as an example of how much this race director sucks - how did the 100 MTB have a live stream but this didn’t?

if Roche doesn’t explode he’s going to win by 2+ hours easily. He looked smooth through the aid stations and these other guys don’t have the resume to close that gap at all

A 6-hour MTB elite race is about 10X more interesting for a spectator than a 16-hour slog on foot.

David is dominating. You haters are going to have to go home disappointed. It’s not over yet though.

They will all say the race sucks and nobody good ever shows up. This is a great performance though that has to be respected if he keeps it going.

How many great runners didn’t do well at Western States this year? It just doesn’t make sense to focus on one race. And no. I’m not a Davis Superfan at all. I don’t care for the podcast. I just recognize he’s talented especially at altitude.
