Devastated for Addy getting tripped in the 800m final today. She most likely would have won the race were it not for that mishap.
She has worked hard and had had great results this year in the D against world class competition. She leads the DL in the 800m rankings so hoping she makes it to Tokyo.
It’s been great cheering for her in the DL and looking forward to the final. Hope to see her in Tokyo and get a podium.

She was perfectly set up to win the race: when she was tripped coming out of the final turn, she was ahead of eventual winner Roisin.
She has been in great form this year, is leading the DL against world class competition, has a season best of 1:57 low and also setting the American record in the 1000M
Definitely bad luck but probability of making team right before fall was questionable at that point, especially as every runner in that final basically had the same 800 time going in. Still, the "what if" will haunt her for awhile.

She has finished 2nd, 7th, 2nd in 3 800m DL meets with two 1:57s and 2nd in a 1000m DL with a AR just last month. So her coaches are ramping her up very well and doing a great job.
She comfortably made it to today’s final. She was well positioned to win before she was tripped.

she ran way too fast for 1st lap in semi, tied up badly and barely held on to make the final. She ran some great times this summer, but did not do well today which is when it counted to make Worlds.
