Kerr slaughtered the field, no one really at his level in it, but put 10 seconds into Rory Leonard in the last 800m after Leonard took the pace. 13:44 winning time.

Leonard was the only one in the race that had any balls.
Taking it out in 71 and then injecting pace to 67s as a field of 13:20-30 runners is hilarious. Most of that field will go home feeling butthurt

Why should they feel butthurt? Kerr is easily the UKs best runner.
So world record pace for one kilometer is supposed to be impressive? (12:35/5) so that's supposed to be as impressive as closing a mile at 43?, an 800 at 19.5?, a 10,000 at 4:46 for the last two kilometers? So much for the revival of UK distance running

Peaking and tapering for champs and then getting spat out the back barely breaking 14 isn’t exactly worth it for many in that field. Only really Kavanagh and Kerr who will be happy with it, even Rory will be pissed that he didn’t hold on for silver.
Only 2:31? What was last lap, have to imagine this was an easy effort for him.
60 seconds, waving to the crowd for the last 200m.
Yeah, he was playing around for 200m, 50m ahead of second place from 400 to go. I imagine he had a minimum of a 2:25 in him if he was being challenged.
Each year the British (UK) Championships on par with the MAC, MWC conferences. Each P4 conference championship is just so much better overall than the UK one. Certainly, the UK has some good athletes, but you begin to look at 3rd/4th/5th places and they basically........well suck.

Saw the clip, yeah he was barely breaking a sweat.
Impressive that he won but 2:31 isn’t super impressive. Although he probably eased off a bit
still there is a 0 percent chance he stays competitive in the 1500 in the coming years
if he is able to move up he will be competitive for longer
He needs to be capable of closing a 13:10 race in 2:21 to have a shot at a medal. That’s not happening without a significant change in training, but I imagine he’ll try to stick with the 1500 through the 2028 Olympics before moving up.

It’s not just a final 2:21 but a final 2k of around 5:00 as well. That’s takes a lethal combination of speed and strength
