It was widely known that ESP and MacLean were disliked on their college teams. They were fast but they were not kind, not good teammates.
Mackay was just tired of their BS so she dipped. And she's got a better shot at making the next few world championship and Olympic teams than those 2 anyway.
I thought Mackay was mad at the big BYU girl for clipping her.
Heather left first and had a new coach lined up. Emily left right after with no coach established. It didn't sound like Emily just decided to dip. Possibly was asked to leave

Elle was not a good sport when Heather beat her in indoors. She was all nice until she felt threatened my up and comers. I don't know if Maclean and Mackay have a beef.

Since MacLean and Hiltz are now training partners, I suspect that the MacLean-MacKay beef has spilled over that way too, because Hiltz's and MacKay's post-race handshake looked very cold and pro forma. Those 2 seemed much friendlier in the past, like at 2024 Indoor Worlds.

I'd say its pretty widely known that Heather was pretty loved on her college team? So not really sure where you were getting that idea from.

Can speak on Heather - this is false. Heather is a wonderful person. My best friend ran track and cross country with her in college and has had nothing but kind things to say.
