Jakob can front run and be competitive (but lose) with the best in the world. Nobody else can do that. Kerr can't even run sub 3:30 outside of 1 day a year. Hocker needs a pacer. Nuguse needs a pacer.

Kerr ran 3:29.37 in July (Sep championship) and 3:45.34 mile (3:30.01 pace, lol) in May (Aug). But yes, he peaks very well
I actually don’t know what Nuguse could have done or can do in the future.
How fast do you think that Koech, Strand and Hocker would have closed off a slower pace? They already closed in 12.49/12.69/12.54 respectively. 11.X off a slower pace? Nuguse can’t do that. I don’t even think he can do a 12.5. Now, that’s not all. Kessler is no slouch either. Kessler has a 1:43.6 PB over 800m. Now, what if the schedule allows the 800m and 1500n double. Then you get Hoey with his 1:42.0 PB. Wait an extra year and how fast will Martin be? He has a strong kick too. That’s 5 or 6 guys that can outkicked him (maybe more) off a 3:33+ pace.
It is possible of course for Nuguse to make another 1500m team, but it will require luck. In the future, he will need to always double (1500/5000) in order to increase his chances. I’m not sure why he didn’t do that.

The amount of Jakob hate on this American board is astonishing. Rojo says he has no kick on this live but thats because he treats every race like a time trial. It's kind of hard to close hard when you are running really fast every race. It's such a close minded way of thinking.
