Anyway, should be an exciting day with 1500s and Steeples later. Watching out for Mikey Brannigan in the Para 1500 too, you never know when he'll run a faster time than the regular mens 1500 ;)

Is it possible that we are going to see a sub 3.30 race in this 1500m final? The way both Hocker and Nuguse took out those heats would lead me to believe at least one of them is going to do the same in this final. If we see 1.53 at 800m we will probably have the guys very close to 2.36.0 at the bell and then it's definitely on.
The standard is just so mind-blowingly high right now I wouldn't discount anything in this one.

Josh Hoey said itll take a 1:40-1:41 to win the mens 800 (lol). I'd say definitely sub 330, no way they leave it to a kick. Fast guys will want to drop the other guys and get the hell away from the kickers.

I think I'd be surprised at that (sub 3.30 not making the team) - I do think it's entirely possible and likely that someone is going to run sub 3.31 and not make it. This in all likelihood will be the hardest national championships final in the history of the sport and I don't believe that is hyperbole. The heats are already pointing us in that direction.

To be not-misleading, Citius Mag should have put an ellipsis (…) behind the Hoey quote posted on their Instagram, but at least they did provide the video clip, as well, for reference.
So dumb that they scheduled the women's steeple final at 6:04 p.m., after the TV broadcast. Couldn't they somehow have wrangled all the events to fit in the 2-hour window? Or made the TV window 2 1/2 hours? I mean it's one last event, sheesh.
