Great run by him. Not a snowball’s chance in hell of making the team, but he could maybe be a reserve if he places fourth, gets the standard (does he have it now?), and if one of the top three gets injured.

Dude can be hazardous to run near. Just having him in the race could cause some havoc, and maybe he sneaks through in the carnage.
This isn’t the 2000’s anymore. The whole final having 3:33 or faster guys is scary. This can turn into a physical/tactical affair guys this is a 1500. Eric Holt himself lost to a 4:05 mile underdog at his senior year conference meet. Very impressed by Martin yesterday as well.
He ran 3:34.05 last year when he beat Kessler/finished second to Wightman in the NYC Grand Prix. But he skipped over 3:33 entirely and broke the standard.
Awesome race! Could be cooked, but at least he’ll be cooked in another U.S. Final! Anyone think he’d get there this year?
I don't think he makes the team but he has certainly earned all the hype that surrounds him. If he misses the team I hope it will be because he broke 3:30 but it wasn't enough.
