I had press credentials at the Penn relays and ncaa nationals and covered world indoors remotely.
i interviewed the DMR for Oregon after they got 2nd.
Elliott Cook stsrted to give a Good interview when he got interrupted by his coach so I couldn’t use it, indoors but he gave me a fist bump and apologized after he was passing through the pres zone. I liked him a lot.
That 1:42 Kenyan runner whose name escapes me at the moment was pretty cool. Matty Erickson was cool. I didn’t have a great experience with Simeon and Reindhart but I’m looking for things in an interaction with a reporter that’s different than people are in conversations. I don’t even want people to give canned answers only praising their programs and teammates. I want people to say their true feelings of whatever I’m asking.
But showing disinterest or giving one word answers isn’t great for me.
then again, how either of them dealt with me is but a tiny sample of all their interactions in life.
