I have been looking for her entry. It is interesting this minor injury has apparently kept her out for 5 months now, while she managed to get back to pretty top form in college after 2-3 months following injury.

I remember a "minor injury" keeping someone out from the NCAA XC Champs in mid-November until the Trials in late June, about 7 months.

It is odd for her to be out that long and miss USAs with no update short of the vague ones we got from her and her dad. I know we’re not owed transparency but as someone who was trying to be a fan it’s hard to root for.
there’s a lack of humility or something that’s off putting. Hopefully it’s not a silent ban

It’s possible Team New Balance Boston is not in Eugene at all in a little over a week. I don’t think anyone had that on their BINGO board a year ago. Just goes to show you how quickly things change in our sport.

doesnt she get a wild card entry to the 400H as the previous champion? Same reason Lyles is only running the 200 at USA's.

Bol is the previous champion not Syd so she has the Wild Card. Syd was injured at the last WC and didn't compete.
Syd has to make the US team in whichever event she wishes to compete in.
