Being a big fan of HBCU sports (do wish they'd stop playing the big dawgs in football those 40 point spreads are ridiculous, but I get it....$$$$.) I was thrilled to finally see an HBCU schooll win that NCAA 4x4 like NCA&T did a few years ago. A lot of HBCU's had made the final before but never won it. Howard was big way back when.
I keep stats on all the schools that meet my critria no school ever burst on the scene like NCA&T did .
Speaking of NCA&T, the school had the first HBCU 1000 yard rusher in NFL history with Niner JD Smith, a converted DB.
Right now, that puts him at 38 on the best performances from this year (sadly just in front of Will Sumner from this last weekend)
USATF hasn't updated the official descending order list, but depending on who's running the 400m, he might just get in. (A few of them are hurdlers from GST.)
While he's "done his time," the US is so deep in the 400m right now that I hope he's left out.
know thy history man. One of Ross's missed tests was a knock on his door in Tennessee that came in-between the USA Nationals 400m semi-finals and finals in Eugene. He actually got a strike when the entire world knew he was in Eugene racing! The system is very strict and not perfect, and the athletes are not always on the A-game with whereabouts strict guidelines. One can certainly understand how a young athlete might panic and try to back-date a document in order to avoid big trouble. your brazen use of the term "cheater" should be reserved for people who are caught with drugs in their system.
No lol. She got away with - according to her own statements - having her friends testify that she was at home during one missed test, and the tester didn't ring the doorbell, and her phone records show that her phone was in the vicinity of her home during that one missed test.
I also don't think she was so bold to miss 3 tests in just 3 months. That gotta be a sad record of sorts.
Are you seriously suggesting falsifying documents to escape a ban should not be called cheating?
Also not sure what your point is regarding missed test 2.
1) The athlete admitted to missing 3 tests, see AIU decision ("On 28 November 2022, the Athlete admitted the ADRVs."). Case closed.
2) The punishment is for 3 missed tests, not necessarily for 3x hiding from the testers. 1x bad luck or an honest mistake, and 2x hiding also qualifies. As does 3x bad luck, hypothetically. They don't punish you after 1 missed test because yes, mistakes do happen.
3) Even worse: if they can prove you were hiding, not for example just shopping like Coleman or not hearing the doorbell like Farah, the default ban is 4 years for test evasion.
4) The Coleman and Farah examples show how low the bar is to have a missed test considered an honest mistake (meaning you can afford 2 in 12 months with basically just any excuse, but not 3 in 3 months).
Acknowledging that you missed that while at the NCAA meet doesn't make that missed test indicative of cheating. It indicates old men being obtuse like you see in high school sometimes
