A time of 2:05 is likely the limit of human capabilities without substance abuse.
The women's is probably 2:15-2:20.
He might be clean, and he might not be. Without the shoes,he'd run maybe 2.08,which is fast for a clean, very talented runner. Even if he's clean as a whistle,no one will ever know if he's the fastest clean runner.
Maybe a 203 mid-high with the good shoes, ideal conditions on a fast course is the edge of clean capabilities I would estimate. Anything sub 203 definitely a doper at this point. I guarantee you that.

Based on my observations, road race super shoes are worth about 2 minutes for the marathon, and not 3.

Youre probably right. Some people say 2 minutes, others 3, others even more. It might be more for someone who isnt an elite athlete.

What observations are those? I would say they’re worth 4 minutes based on my observations. But my observations probably don’t count. In any case, Mantz can clear up at any time what he would run w/o bouncy shoes.

Think this through for a minute, it doesn't make sense.
Mantz has ran 2:05:08 in Boston, which is considered to be a relatively tough course vis-a-vis the other "big" marathons. People may argue about exactly how tough it is but I don't think anyone would dispute that, all other things being equal, one will always run significantly quicker in the likes of Chicago or Valencia.
Do you seriously think he could not shave 8 seconds off on those courses and run 2:04:XX?
8 seconds. 0.02s/KM. 0.3s/Mile.
Come on man. I'll come back to this thread when he runs a pancake flat course and obliterates his PB.

Why? What specific reasons do you have to assert these particular numbers. Do you have any scientific evidence to back it up? This theoretical time range is directly contradicted by the fact that 5 women already have ran under 2:15.
Do you have some sort of secret evidence which we are not party to that all five are doping? Would you care to share it with us? Have you passed on your earth shattering evidence to WADA/the AIU yet?
And before you start "they are from xxx and they all dope there" is not an argument.
Or are you just pulling some arbitrary numbers out of your arse (funny how it's perfect multiples of 5, very scientific. Why not 2:14:35-2:19:23?).

Kenyan industrial scale doping.
Are you blind. Saying someone is from xxx and therefore they dope is not an argument.
Well the WR was 2:02 in 2014, and is now 2:00. So ten years of progress including bicarbonate and supershoes, and only a 2:20ish improvement at the very top.

So the suoershoes cannot really give 4 minutes.
Except everyone expected Kiptum to run 1:59 at rotterdam and probably 1:58 later on. Dude negative split with the second half in 59:30-40ish twice and he ran like 3 marathons his whole life.
