I am so psyched. Starts in a few minutes. That Men's International mile field is loaded. Could their winning time be within 2 seconds of Bowerman winner? Weather looks good. mid to upper 70s, a little wind, no humidity.

I'd be more excited if it wasn't behind a $13 paywall on USATF.TV.

Agreed. USATF won't get a dime from me until they clean house. Hoping someone gives a play by play of stacked M 10,000 meter race which starts in 30 minutes.
Rudy Winkler gets the meet started off well with an American record and world leader in the hammer throw!
10k on the starting line.
Men's 10000m coming up. Possible world record attempt from Aregawi and Mehary + Conner Mantz in the field but this is also the Kenyan trials so a bit a bout the top contenders:
Nicholas Kipkorir - has made every global track team since 2019, sub 13 5000 every year since then too. Form has been fine, good but nothing crazy this year. Coached by Patrick Sang.
Edwin Kurgat - Based in Flagstaff with UA Darksky. Breakthrough last year placing with 12:57/26:51 + 7th in the Olympic 5000 final. Slower start to the year this year.
Ishmael Kipkurui - World leader (26:50) and NCAA champ for UNM. Made 2023 Worlds 5000 final, former WXC U20 champ.
Benson Kiplangat - 5th here last year, bronze at WXC Belgrade. At his best, very strong but usually lacks the kick to make the team.
Stanley Waithaka - Silver at Worlds 2022. Injury problems since, based in Japan with Yakult corporate team. Only one of the main contenders here with world ranking so will probably need sub-27
Samwel Masai - Good form early this year but might have got injured. Question is if he's had enough time to get back to his best. Brother to Ronald Kwemoi.
Gideon Rono likely 7th best, I'd be very surprised if someone not mentioned is in the mix late for Kenya

Flotrack not covering the 10,000. It is just their annoying announcers babbling incessantly about the 100m later today.
first K 2:37.40, they're running 63s/62.highs (~WR pace)
here we go with the professional events being less accessible than high school or college.
have to pay an EXTRA 13 to watch non diamond discipline events.
NO LAP BY LAP SPLITS. are you kidding me
second K 2:37.02

Don't you know? You could save a grand total of (checks math) $3 per month by having an active USATF membership XD God usatf is such a sh$t show.
Aregawi and Barega right behind pacers, hard to tell who else and the announcers are trying to figure that out (they didn't even mention Barega)

Mehary and Kiplangat have gone with it
I am watching the 10,000. Who are the announcers?

for each runner?
thanks, my feed's a bit blurry/small
Not that I can find, just overall. It's below the list of participants. They have 1km splits and 400m splits.
7:51.77 for 3k. Another 2:37. Pacer has dropped out, Aregawi in front and still pressing.
I don't understand how on earth a post such as -
"I am so psyched. Starts in a few minutes. That Men's International mile field is loaded. Could their winning time be within 2 seconds of Bowerman winner? Weather looks good. mid to upper 70s, a little wind, no humidity."
gets downvoted. What goes through someone's head to do that? Seriously.
Whats the point in wr pacing if pacers cant make it past 3k? noones going to push for 7k
