I guess 5 years as a pro would be a dream to most runners, even with a junior record like Hasay's. After her third place finishes in Boston I thought she was just getting started. But its really hard to stay at that level.

I'm not sure what happened to her. She was supposed to be the female Rupp but never really did much.

Jordan is from SLO, which is nowhere near LA. Its like saying Boston is part of New York.

you're the worst
I don't understand anything you just said. This is ridiculous.
SLO is an integral part of the 200mi L.A. beach. SLO identifies as L.A. people. Same culture.
What's she do now? She still needs to earn a paycheck...
I've ranted on this before, but I thought she was terribly misserved by being moved up to the marathon so early. She was an OT finalist in the 1500 as a high schooler!
Yes, I realize that the income opportunities were probably greatest at the marathon distance, but I have to wonder what might have been if she'd spent some time as a pro at 5,000 and 10,000, maybe even stay in touch with the 1500.
Seems like she's doing just fine now, though. I wish her well.
Did she enjoy it? How would I know? How would anyone here know?
I hope so.
What a great talent. And she worked hard and seemed like the kind of athlete who wanted to do things the right way.
I’ll always pull for that kind of runner.
She also had many great performances she can be proud of.
Does that amount to being everything you or I would have expected? I’m not going to bother with trying to answer that.
Whatever you say beyond that may tell us all a lot more about you than it does about her.

It was really her only option. Her best 1500 was 4:10! The world had moved to 3:55 and US ladies were at 4:00.
Similar at 5000.
Given that she was small and an aerobic monster, marathon made a lot of sense.
Just too bad she could not stay healthy.
San Luis Obispo, Fresno are considered Southern California. They don't talk to you and are annoyed and self-centered.
Jordan's professional career was short, but her time in the spotlight was very long. She was anticipated as a big thing when moving from middle school to high school and went through the stages of high school and college under a microscope. I'd bet dollars to donuts that she didn't feel like it was short. Likewise, I'd bet that some of the moments were very tough, but there was a lot that was really cool. That's life. I hope that the positives outweighed the negatives.

Either a knuckle-head troll or a pure knuckle-head.
Jordan married Hulk Hogan’s son and is having a baby Hulkster. MAGA

Central Coast folks aren't going to like hearing about this. Not at all.

Yep.
This.
She went on to influence a lot of the future prodigies.
I also think she moved onto the marathon too quickly; she was obviously good at it but don’t think she ever ran to her potential in the 5/10k. Marathon training really takes a toll on the body.
She’s only 33 so she’s got a few years to continue competing, but the long training seems to have sapped her of strength.
LA Culture starts at Montery-Modesto line and goes south.
The couple lives in Palisades. The street was spared during the fire.
