Great result from Jane today! It must kind of suck to always have to race against lights rather than actual HS girls all the time. As well, she now has only her own records to constantly chase. She has one more mile race Sunday, and then hopefully a nice break before base training later this summer in preparation for her first NCAA cross season.

So I guess that means she is not planning to run USTAF?
I believe this is her last track meet of the year. Despite running yet another crazy record, she looked just a little more tired than usual. It's been a long 8 month, record-setting spree for Jane!
Would've been #1 in the NCAA (indoor) list for 2025........ wow
Great result, but weaker than her 9:17 by a few
please don't take this as an insult or downplaying what she did. I'm just objectively saying it's not a new level for her. though the consistency in dominating is encouraging.
would be like getting super excited for jakob if he had run the 7:54 after his 7:17, as the 7:54 is a couple or few seconds weaker.

She is entered in the mile but according to this article she will not run it and this 3000 was her last HS race.

You’re seeing what you want to see. She finished with a 4:35.5, including a 67 second last lap.
As for USATF, I would love to see her run and compete with Valby and Tuohy. XC will take care of itself and she could take it easy in intervals for the first month of the season.
Looking at the video she has a bit of a shuffling stride that tends to lead to better results at longer distances. Given how well she's already running at 3K/3200, I wouldn't be surprised if she's a monster at 5K/10K in college.

Based on her PRs and NXN win, isn’t that kind of obvious?
