I don’t need to apologize. Gjert was cleared of all serious charges. Jakob, you, and others here need to apologize for unproven libel.

You do not seem to have a proper grasp of the english langugage. Being an apologetist does not mean that one apologises. It means that one comes up with elaborate excuses to explain some unacceptable behaviour or event, i.e. exactly what you are doing.

Would Jakob be a 2 time Olympic champion and world record holder if he did not have Gjert bringing him up as a father? Same goes for his older brothers who have won distance running major titles and medals. I just wonder whether to reach such high levels of athletic achievement or even achievement in other areas such as academics or music then there may well be a certain amount of parental pressure involved while growing up and to what extent this crosses the line into abuse becomes difficult to ascertain.

Limits and total control are two different things. What Gjert did with his children, as you admitted, was the latter.

Of course not. Jakob and his brothers wouldn’t have had half their achievements without Gjert. He sacrificed for them. He supported them. He guided them.
