Syd will be running for bronze at this year's World Champs. Love to see it.

Initially I was glad to see somebody mention Sutherland's great time here, as I think she deserves praise for her accomplishment. But the title already ruined it by revealing it's just a hate post by a Sydney hater.
Anyway, I still came here to say Savannah did great and I hope for the sport that she has a bright future in the 400mH.
What a great way for Savannah to end her career at Michigan. It was a shame that Savannah was not eligible for NIL funds throughout her college years.
Hopefully now a shoe contract or similar sponsorship opportunity can advance her career even further.
Who knows… Maybe we will see a changing of the guard at the Olympics in Los Angeles. Perhaps the reign of Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Femke Bol is coming to an end.
And just like every other time you’ve claimed this…
…Syd will win without it being close.
It’s cool to see these women can run within 2s of Sydney in a 400H. Perhaps they can find their way into the finishing shot with Sydney.
Syd is still the best and Femke is the perpetual bridesmaid. If anything, Bol is now afraid of Sutherland and holding onto her spot as the 2nd best. Bol, as much as I like her, will never be the best as long as Syd is competing in the event.
Gorgeous Femke just DEMOLISHED another DL race btw.
Syd's success is entirely predicated on testing/cycling. She can't stay on top forever.

You can keep simping but it won’t change the obvious.

Unless Femke gets beat by Anna Cockrell again of course. Syd’s streak of breaking the world record every championship final will end at some point, but she’s never lost to Bol and I don’t expect that to change.
Sutherland is the closest parallel to Bol. She doesn't have the flat speed upside. But in terms of how she runs 400 hurdles it's very similar to Bol, a measured tactical approach.
She even uses the same stride pattern Bol had in early 2021, other than Bol prefers left lead and Sutherland right lead. The basics are identical...15 steps through 8 then 16 on 9 and 10. Bol used that tactic until one month prior to Tokyo, when she managed 15 on 9 and 10 for the first time.
Sydney is miles clear. The interesting thing about Bol is that her new stride pattern makes it very easy for her to go 52 low or mid but I'm not sure how she plans to find another second or more. Steve Cram called Dalilah briefly in the lead midway between 6 and 7. That was correct. That hurdle is the biggest challenge for Bol. She now has reverted to 15 steps on 7 compared to 14 the past two years. It means she has to measure herself and loop wide around the turn to make room for that additional step while angling favorably for her left lead.
Sydney will blow right past her at that point, if it hasn't happened already. In Paris Sydney didn't run past Bol until midway between 7 and 8.

Sydney needs to get off the sauce and race, there is a reason she doesn’t

Why would she be Ineligible for Nil Funds? Thank You in Advance.
Looked It up Sutherland is ineligible for NIL Funds as she is a Canadian Citizen.
There is a way to do International NIL.
Work has to be done in the home country, and payment has to be made in home country.
Very easy for a corp like NIKE to execute, but a bit more complicated for a booster collective.
Still, where there is a will there is a way.
Sutherland's big improvement does make the event more interesting, certainly in the battle for bronze. As it stands, I still think the top two will be ahead of everyone else in Tokyo (assuming Bol runs her own race). Of course, Sutherland could surprise and pull out another huge PB, but I doubt it.
The question for me is how much Bol is going to improve. Her opening 3 races have been her best ever, and she has been very vocal in interviews about not being anywhere near her best shape yet. Judging by prior year's improvements, I'm anticipating a sea-level sub 51, maybe around 50.8 - 50.9 which would be amazing. Of course, McLaughlin has run faster and likely will be meters ahead again. I would be surprised if Sydney is in PB form; Kersee clearly follows an Olympic cycle in terms of preparation, but somewhere between 50.4 - 50.7.
As a fan, I would love to see a 50.7 vs 50.8 battle from Syd & Bol, a Doha-type battle, but it's probably not going to happen. As much as I am a fan of Bol, I am a realist, and she is still clearly behind McLaughlin.
The other question is will Sydney run the hurdles in Tokyo, or will she attempt the flat (or even double)? She now has two Olympic titles, a World title, the WR...is she really that motivated to run sub 50, or is another challenge on the horizon? It will all come down to how much Kersee thinks a gold medal is secured. We know he likes to make history.

I would like to see Sydney go to that Appledorn or whatever the high altitude in the mountain is called later this year, and run the 400H in 49.4. Then move to the 200/400M permanently.
Racists like you ruin the excitement of everyone in the sport for up and coming stars by just fastening on the white ones. Sutherland is definitely on the rise and Bol should be able to run mid-50, given how fast she is at the 400m indoors, but Syd is not exactly quaking right now.

Make a mental note for the future. The OP stays true to form.

Syd has raced 6 times this outdoor season while Bol has raced 5 times. Syd raced 15 times last outdoor season. Nice try at distorting facts, though.
