Tyreek Hill Runs 10.15 Wind Legal 100m

What appears to be the case is that tyreek hill is actually better at the 100/200 than he is at the 40 yard dash and the 60. Definitely olympic talent I don't think that has ever been disputed. It makes me happy to know he's always been this fast because I've always said that tyreek hill is the fastest actual football player ever. Guys who only have like 2 seasons on special teams don't count. Tyreek is the fastest period.

But will he run the finals like Bill Russell?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Every HS football player should be participating in track & field during the spring. Track & field training is an excellent compliment to football athleticism.

The benefits of having a faster, more athletic, and better conditioned team far outweigh the minimal chance of injury. Sprints, jumps, hurdles, for the skill positions and throws for the big boys. The only one who gets a pass here is the kicker, who should probably play soccer instead.

What's the drug testing like at this meet?

Wow. Could he have an Olympic medal? Probably. But I don't consider any NFL player clean. Their testing is very lax.

Darrell Green ran 10.08 in college. They also have him listed with a 4.09 40, but I’m pretty sure that was hand timed.

Contrarian take: I’m less impressed after watching. He looks way thinner than when he ran his 60. His start looked clean like he’s been working on it a lot and still he gained little separation on the second-placer. I don’t really think he’d improve much on this and 10.15 in near-perfect conditions is good but not eye-popping. His better play may be to race ishowspeed and Ashton Hall than Noah.

Wow! I thought his talk about becoming a world class sprinter was just a publicity stunt. This is quite impressive.

Wow. That would have been considerably under any betting line projected time.

The Dolphins have had lots of very fast guys in recent years. They race against each other in practice. Lots of pride and trash talking. That may have played a small role in Tyreek being sharp and starting so well.

He also didn't want another embarrassing video clip like being double juked and beaten for a touchdown in flag football by that 13 year old girl a few weeks ago. There was a similar one last summer but that girl wasn't anywhere near as quick or athletic as the recent one.

I'll be upfront that I'm hating, but I'm hating with a dose of TRUTH. A 10.15 with a +1.2 is essentially a 10.21 or so in basic. When I was capable of 10.2s, no one cared and everyone made excuses for how I wasn't that good or it wasnt that impressive. So, this is ALL more about WHO he is, rather than how ultimately fast he actually is on the track. Particularly when you contextualize it with Lyles. Which you HAVE to do since Hill himself name checks Lyles immediatelyafter the race.

Of course, 10.15 is a prelim heat shutdown warmup for Lyles, but you'll likely never hear that from the pundits and idiots for the next few weeks.

The better question than Lyles is, who would win in a 100, Hill, or that DIII white kid? I'd put my money still on the DIIIer.

Would Hill have qualified for the NCAA final this year?
