Her performance was shockingly fast. Performance of the meet. Fast enough to compete at the Olympic trials if this was a year ago. Age group WR. Do we need to start testing these middle schoolers?

I mean, she's old for 7th grade, as someone else pointed out - 14. She's older than my 8th grader. I assume she was held back a grade like a lot similar runners currently. But it isn't like she's 16 or something.

Yes middle schoolers should be tested. Running 51 as a 7th grader is completely unheard of. I can also bet most of these girls are pre pubescent and we know this sport loves to highlight all these kids running super fast before puberty
This might be one of the craziest runs I’ve seen. I’m obviously not in a state known for speed but that is two or three seconds better than our girls HS state record in the biggest class. She would qualify and maybe finish top six or so in some of the smaller class of HS boys. Absolutely nuts.
There is no way in hell this is legit. A 13 year old GIRL running 51.6 is literally impossible. Either there's a timing error or they are on crazy steroids. That's equivalent to a 13 year old boy running 45. There is just no way. This needs serious review
