Good lord with 150 to go in that 1500 when he was a couple steps clear of the field I thought to myself “how in the world could he lose this?”
He just needs to work on his tactics. Imagine that devastating speed coming out with 100m to go instead of 200m? I think as he gets more experience he’ll get better and better with that timing. I have faith he’ll stick it to these guys eventually.

In a 3:33 -3:35 race, yes.
The 1500m guys should never lose a grand slam. Those three run 3:29's in their sleep. They're just too cowardly to lay in on the line the way the 8 guys do in their feature races.
I agree with most of your analysis but I don’t think any of them have run 3:29 outside of global finals or a Diamond League context with wavelights and 1500m of free pacing compliments of Jakob. They’re not willing to risk working together with no pacer to make it a 3:29 race.

If they could run 3:29 in their sleep, why have the three of them never run it more than 2-3 times in their whole career?
Perhaps cowardly and dumb are synonymous in this instance.
Jakob on the other hand has no choice due to his endurance type, just like he would have no choice in grand slam races or global finals. He'd need a fast time. Nothing cowardly about that.
