Good picks, 800m guy has been a bit underwhelming so far, seems to be rounding into shape at the right time
Interesting article and picks, Rojo. One thing I see differently is I don't think Nathan Green "deserves" to be the favorite in the 1500m. You wrote:

While he lost to Australian Olympian Adam Spencer of Wisconsin at Big 10s, Green deserves to be the favorite. He has the second-best PB in the field behind Spencer at 3:32.20
Spencer has a faster PB, recently beat Green at their conference championships, and is the highest-finishing returner in the event from last year's outdoor championships. I think those things make Spencer favored over Green if I'm considering who has a better chance of winning between just those two.
And, of course, it's not just those two. The other four guys you listed in your poll (Liam Murphy, Ethan Strand, Gary Martin, and Abel Teffra) are all strong contenders too. Rather than saying one guy deserves to be the favorite, I think it's more accurate to say this is a wide-open race with no clear single favorite but rather half a dozen top guys who could conceivably win.
I’m hearing Parker has been injured recently

Hearing this more. Sad if true
Watching all of these athletes over the last couple years makes it tough to pick winners. Some are good to pick if the pace is honest from the gun. Not always the case in championship racing. Performance lists go out the window in a matter of seconds. Then there's seasonal fatigue vs who's coming on at the right time. I dont care what happened indoors or at the Penn Relays or Stanford or XC nationals etc... Then there's consistency of training vs recovery from injury and the timing of that and where you were before the injury and how severe.
I guess thats what makes championship season so interesting.
I'll take the 25 indoor 800 champion Matty Erickson of Oregon and Simeon Birnbaum to win 1500 or 5k. Nobody expects them to and granted, they have to make finals but if they do, they have just as good of a chance.
Don’t count out Mia Barnett. She has been closing in every race on Silan. Last race Strong kick. Lost by only .005 seconds.
