I agree. It was actually six total exclamation points (3x2).

I think it is great that GDS is running well and I wish her the best. Her situation with Jerry and the Bowerman team was messed up.

But it is annoying that her fans (not saying the OP is one of these people), are supporters of her running as a way to hate Shelby.

What percentage of GDS fans only like her because she represents the anti-Shelby in their eyes? That is a weird reason to follow an athlete's progress and comeback...

Well, I am glad to be wrong. GDS deserves her own story and should not be tied up in the Shelby controversy. That was all I was saying...

I didn't do a good job expressing that. I should have said "some of her fans..." not "her fans." That was not correct.

I don’t see how this is any different other than that she was training and racing at sea level and local races in Canada hence the slow times.

In terms of her 3000m that’s what she been running most of the times. I don’t see how this is a comeback at all. It’s a good step forward but not the shape she used to have running 3:56-14:31

1. She's the 2nd fastest Stafford sister this season.

2. Even 3:56 isn't what it used to be: 3 Americans ran 3:55 last year and none finished better than 7th in Paris. Jess Hull is running 3:50 FFS.

3. Glad she's made some strides with her mental health but let's not really celebrate until after Tokyo when it really matters.
