This isnt just one shoe, it is an entire group of shoes from different brands.

Moran. Tell your retailer to eat the tariffs.
I live the word “tariffs.”
~ Donald J Trump
Do your country a favor and pay the extra freedom fee.
I just got 4 pairs of VF3s on sale for $190 each.
VF4s are $259, the same price that VF3s were. There are plenty of everyday trainers for under $150.
StockX and GOAT
I spend less than $100 on mine. Clearance shoes work well.
That's the matrix for ya. It starts with people complaining they're broke and minimum wage should be higher. Then it goes higher over time, perhaps fairly substantially, but the funny thing is these people are still broke despite their wage increases. It the smokescreen of the matrix at work--make them think they're making progress when really they're not. The matrix goal--to keep around 50% living check to check. Minimum wage could be 1 million dollars per hour, but they'd keep 50%+ broke with inflation. Time to demand accountability and wake up.

This has nothing to do with tariffs as some trolls cynically suggested. The really good shoe models (carbon plates + superfoam) have been above $200 for the past 4 years. Greedy companies being greedy. I wait for sales.
I just use my credit card cash back reward points to buy my shoes, haven't spent a dollar on shoes in years.
Tariffs add hardly anything to the cost of shoes. This is bs.

Yes there are discounts, but you would rather whine than do some work to look for them. Entitled loser!
Saucony Kinvaras are a workhorse shoe for regular, long runs, good for 400 miles at least. If you don't mind the color, you will never pay more than $70 on Amazon for a pair.
Yeah I remember telling myself I'd never be the guy buying 200 dollar shoes, and here I am dropping 200 dollars just for my running shoes.

Both the Nike Vomero 18 and the Pegasus 41 retail for around $150.00 and you can get certain color ways of the Peg 41 for under $100.00.
My Hoka Clifton 10s are $150, with my inserts, and my discount it comes to about $200 total.
carbon fiber and super foam is becoming old tech. when do prices come down like with tvs and other tech?
i would love to see the full accounting on how prices and costs have changed over the years.
I recently bought some brand new Brooks Adrenaline from their website. $140.
Went to a Nike outlet and got 3 pairs of Pegasus 41s all for 70 bucks. They’re there…you just have to look.
