Many interesting entries - whether they all run or not I guess we shall see. Wolfe/Strand/Teffra in M 1500. Kosgei/Bush/Parks/Chepngetich in W 1500. Paige entered in 400/800/1500 so who knows? Gapes of NC State notably absent while Hartman is listed for 5000.

Ethan Strand won the men's 1500m in 3:33.22 over Abel Teffra (3:33.84) and Parker Wolfe (3:34.24). In the women's 5000m, Grace Hartman ran a solo effort 14:58.11 (#4 on the NCAA outdoor all-time list).

I’m beginning to wonder if Gapes is injured. She only has had one result this spring, at the Raleigh Relays, running a subpar 5k in 16:07. She looked so strong last cross season & at the ACC indoor meet.

I just looked at the 5000 entries. I’m wondering if Henes is going to let Hartman go for it or if she’ll be pacing Michalak, Putnam, & Shea. Since she doesn’t have the 5k qualifier for the regional meet I’m thinking she goes for it so she has more flexibility in what she run in the ACC meet.

could accomplish both. Lead thru 3000 at 9:30 (15:50 pace for others) and then accellerate to finish at 15:30 which should qualify.

Noway she misses 4 straight meets (Duke invit, wake Forest invit, Penn relays, and now this one) and isn't injured. Or she is recovering from one.

Performance list updated, presumably reflecting scratches. Paige now in 400 only which makes sense. Strand, Teffra, Wolfe still listed in 1500. Teffra already has a Q time which is interesting but Strand does not.

or it looks like Michalak will be pacing Hartman for 2,000 at 15:00 pace so she would seem to be going for a fast time. A second pacer is at about 15:50 pace. The fast M 1500 heat is scheduled to be 2:23 at 1000 (~3:35 pace) while the fast W 1500 heat is scheduled for 2:12 at 800 (~4:08 pace). No Bush in 1500 but Parks and the top Clemson and BC ladies remain on start list. Wolfe, Strand and Teffra remain on M 1500 start list.

I would like to see her crack 15. The weather looks favorable. I’m not sure if she can do it solo if Michalak breaks off after 2k. It’s only a matter of time until she does, though.

Im not sure it says its live and shows Patrick Anderson, but the 1500 is pretty clearly labelled as starting at 8:10
