I need some advice.
background: I started running for track directly after xc state. I’m running about 55-60 miles for most of my build up, strictly threshold training. I start running amazing- 30 sec 3200 pb, 9:22* (converted from flat track) led gun to tape. 4 second 1600 pb 4:18. I still have no speed and get out kicked at indoor state so my coach loads up my speed work. I start running amazing again. 9:33 3200 4:55-4:38 neg split solo, 4:17 1600 2:12- 2:05 neg split.
recently I’ve felt so flat. We’ve done no reps longer than 400 in 3.5 weeks. Strictly 800 pace workouts. I have been feeling bad in workouts, but the past two were very bad.
today I couldn’t stand up and my hands wouldn’t stop shaking and my legs were numb after 3 200’s and a 400. Splits weren’t very fast (27X3, 59) with 3 mins break. Is my CNS overloaded? I’m pretty positive I’m eating enough macro wise- I’m very hydrated. Regionals in 38 hours, state in 12 days, nationals in 24. I need advice please help.
