Seems like some very underwhelming performances by these folks who have been hyping the London Marathon for months and targeting times way beyond what they ran.

Phily is a pro & 2:30 in slightly warmer than normal conditions isn't the worst result for someone who ran 2:25-high last fall.
Think Phily makes nearly all her money from coaching and youtubing. Reckon she'll be disappointed with this result, as she's open about her aim to represent GB at the marathon worlds

And a man from the message boards ran a 2:24 debut with no pre race kit glamour shot and no coach

A great result. That's what talent and great training can accomplish.
The youtubers in average will still run faster than 99+% of running enthusiasts.
Berlin is a better course and better conditions. No wonder Philly PBd there. For a good marathon it needs to be cold. Unless you train in a continent where you are used to.

Phily also employed a personal male pacer in Berlin. She has been smart in her approach. Bank a good time in a mixed event before entering Women's only event.
I am assuming, though, she needs to perform without a male pacer, if she is going to get to her international marathon championship ambitions. You'd need to think if there is any point of her going to major marathon championships - she'd need to be in with an outside chance of actually placing high (e.g, Molly Seidel in Tokyo).
