I think this is more worthy of a thread than some random US college student no-one has heard of doing a 4:20 mile or whatever. You should see the stuff that pollutes this forum.

Not everything has to be hyperfocused on the elites. Hell most of the americans on this board seem to have a weird obsessions with sub-elite college runners. What's wrong with the UK crowd showing support for a sub-elite club runner?

Does anyone else think his progression has been kinda unusual? Guy was a 14:40 5K/67min HM runner - solid times. Gets sidelined for a while with an injury, has a small and modest buildup to run 69min HM right after injury. From there, his progression has been neck-breaking. Sub 30min 10K, 64min HM, and 2:16 debut in 1yr for a 14:40/67min guy after injury is uncommon to say the least.

Lest we forget an amazing run from John Gilbert of Kent AC running 2:16:26 at the age of 44 and first non elite.

No social media profile or strava presence to speak of.

Those times are a 2.20 pre super shoes. Hardly earth shattering.

But what about if it had been 40 degrees this morning. Then what is the conversion?

Ben I know you're pissed because you used to be better than Cole and now he's left you in the dust, but that's not an excuse to accuse him of doping.

Have nothing against Cole but can hardly call him an amateur when he gets tonnes of free gear and runs in the middle of the day, not exactly getting up at 5am to bang everything out.
